Proofpoint 연구원들은 2024년 2월 8일, Bumblebee Malware가 사이버 범죄 위협 환경으로 반환됐음을 확인했다. 2022년 3월부터 2023년 10월까지 첫 출전으로 사용됐으며, 2월 미국 조직 대상 이메일 캠페인에서 OneDrive URL이 포함된 발신자와 "VoiceMail February"라는 주제로 수천 개의 이메일 관찰됐다. 이는 매크로로 스크립트를 작성해 Windows 임시 디렉토리에서 스크린 샷을 포함하는 단어 문서로 스푸핑됐다.

Bumblebee Buzzes Back in Black
ProofPoint researchers confirmed on February 8, 2024 that Bumblebee Malware was returned to cyber crime threats.It was used as the first participation from March 2022 to October 2023, and in February, an e -mail campaign for the US organization was observed by the sender who included the OneDrive URL and the “VOICEMAIL FEBRUARY”.This was written as a macro script and spoiled as a word document containing screenshots in the Windows temporary directory.
