ASUS는 2023년 5월 16일부터 소셜 미디어 및 토론 플랫폼에서 네트워크 연결 잃게 한 서버 측 보안 유지 관리 오류로 고객에게 사과했다. 이 오류는 ASD라는 보안 데몬의 손상된 정의 파일로 인해 발생했고, 펌웨어 업데이트나 NVRAM 재설정으로 해결될 수 있다고 한다.
ASUS routers knocked offline worldwide by bad security update
ASUS apologized to the customer as a server -side security maintenance error that had lost network connections on social media and discussion platforms since May 16, 2023.This error was caused by a damaged definition file of the security daemon called ASD and could be solved by firmware update or NVRAM reset.
