Emby는 취약한 관리자 계정 구성을 이용해 최근 해킹된 공개되지 않은 수의 사용자 호스팅 미디어 서버 인스턴스를 원격으로 종료했다고 밝혔다. 해커는 관리자 로그인을 허용하도록 구성된 사람들에게 침투하고 악의적 인 플러그인을 설치함으로써 타협 된 Emby 인스턴스에 대한 백도어 액세스를 사용했다. Emby는 플러그인 문제를 감지하고 이를 로드하지 못하게 하기 위해 업데이트를 푸시했으며, 관리자는 추가 의심스러운 활동을 확인하라고 경고했다.

EMBY announced that it has remotely terminated the recently hacked user hosting media server instance using a vulnerable administrator account configuration.The hacker used backdoor access to the compromised EMBY instances by penetrating the people who were configured to allow administrator login and installing malicious plugins.EMBY pushed updates to detect the plug -in problem and prevent it from loading it, and the administrator warned you to confirm additional suspicious activities.
