FBI와 미국 법무부가 20세의 코너 브라이언 피트치코프(알아서 Pompompurin)을 개인정보 도난과 판매에 관련해 구속했다. 뉴욕 피크스컬에서의 구속 후 피트치코프는 버지니아 동부 지방 법원에 출석했다. FBI는 RaidForums의 서버와 데이터베이스를 국산하고 BreachForums 데이터베이스에 액세스해 피트치코프를 주관으로 하는 포럼의 메인 관리자로 입증했다. Have I Been Pwned과 Optimum Online 인터넷 연결의 활동 로그에서 피트치코프와 폼폼푸린간의 관련을 밝힌 증거도 발견되었다.
FBI confirms access to Breached cybercrime forum database
The FBI and US Justice Department have arrested 20-year-old Conor Brian Fitzpatrick, aka Pompompurin, for involvement in the theft and sale of personal information. Following his arrest in Peekskill, New York, Fitzpatrick appeared in court in the Eastern District of Virginia. The FBI seized RaidForums’ servers and databases, giving them access to BreachForums’ database which helped establish Fitzpatrick as the forum’s main admin. Evidence linking Fitzpatrick to Pompompurin was found in Have I Been Pwned and activity logs from Optimum Online Internet connection.
