The FBI and CISA have released a joint Cybersecurity Advisory on the Royal ransomware group. It details the tactics, techniques, and procedures used by the group, such as phishing, malvertising, exploiting public facing applications, and using initial access brokers, as well as the indicators of compromise associated with infection. The group emerged in January 2022 and has been using its own Zeon encryptor since September 2022.
