Gamaredon’s LittleDrifter USB malware spreads beyond Ukraine
The recently discovered worm, LittleDrifter, has spread to the USB drive infection system in the United States, Ukraine, Germany, Vietnam, Poland, Chile and Hong Kong as part of a spy group’s campaign sponsored by Gamarredon State.The worm was designed to spread by the evolution of GamareDon’s USB PowerShell Worm, and aimed at the government, defense and critical infrastructure for at least 10 years as a cyber spy threat associated with Russia.
