2023년 3월 이후 42명의 연구원들이 Mirai Botnet의 변형을 전파하기 위해 IoT 취약점을 활용하는 위협 행위자를 관찰했다. 그들이 악용한 취약점에는 CVE/Products, Zeroshell, D-Link, Nagios XI, Telesquare, ARRIS, Solarview, Tenda, Zyxel, Nortek 등이 포함되었다.
