Use of IPFS in mass and targeted phishing campaigns

Web 3.0 is decentralized and open, but criminals can still use its technologies for data theft, financial machinations, etc. InterPlanetary File System (IPFS), a distributed file system, is one technology of Web 3.0 and can be used for email phishing attacks. IPFS uses addressing based on unique content identifiers and files are exchanged directly between users’ devices. IPFS requires specific software to upload or download files, but gateways can be used to view files without any software.
