US sanctions orgs behind North Korea’s ‘illicit’ IT worker army
The Treasury’s Foreign Asset Control Bureau (OFAC) has announced sanctions on four organizations and one individual on illegal IT workers system and cyber attacks to raise funds to North Korea’s weapons development programs.They threaten international security and use the stolen identity, fake persona and forgery documents to support the North Korean regime and illegal mass destruction weapons and ballistic missile programs.As a result, the Democratic People’s People’s Republic (DPRK) 's groups were sanctioned today with participation in cyber attacks and illegal profit generation plans.
