On 19th November, a false positive detection on excel files was identified and quarantined on some customer devices, causing inconvenience. Necessary actions were taken to investigate and the issue was resolved by 2:26 pm. The False Positive was caused due to a signature targeting XML files but inadvertently detecting XML within legitimate excel files. To prevent future occurrences, an alert is generated if the update package has a False Positive risk and the respective signature is removed.
