Break IT/OT Silos by Expanding SOC Responsibilities
In June 2023, in collaboration between Sans Institute and Trend Micro, we released a report by Jason Christopher, “ICS/OT Visibility”.In this survey, more than 350 respondents were involved in various industrial sectors around the world, exploring the comparison of the ICS/OT visibility problem, IT-OT boundary gap, visibility expansion obstacles, and the maturity of both areas.As a result, Enterprise SOC’s responsibility is expanding to OT, only 53%of the ICS/OT environment provides data for detection, and 40%of respondents said that only IT employees will respond to the case.
