A survey of 1,000 C-level business executives from December 2022 showed that employers are more reluctant to lay off cybersecurity staffers than employees from any other area in the business due to their critical role in protecting against cyberthreats and the difficulty finding adequate replacements. It also suggested that once the economy stabilizes, cybersecurity professionals will be a top recruitment priority.
