The Critical Need for People-Centric Cybersecurity
Daniela Almeida, CISO of Dutch fintech company Tinka, discussed the need to effectively communicate cyber risks to the board and other business stakeholders in order to make informed decisions. She noted that instead of leading with fear, one should tie risk to relatable consequences. Additionally, the pandemic has made people more aware of cybersecurity threats and the need to protect themselves, but uncertainty exists as people return to the office.
