Microsoft OneNote will block 120 dangerous file extensions
Microsoft has announced that OneNote will soon block malicious embedded files to protect users from phishing attacks pushing malware. This follows a zero-day exploit patched by Microsoft in December 2022 and the disabling of Word and Excel macros. The list of file extensions blocked will be aligned with Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, totaling 120 types.
